Disability Inclusion Sierra Leone (DI-SL), formerly known as Disability Rights and Inclusion Matters (DRIM) – Sierra Leone, is a registered local human rights and development organization (NGO). Our mission is to advocate for the interests of diverse youth with disabilities, encompassing those with sensory, intellectual, mental, and physical challenges in impoverished rural communities throughout Sierra Leone.
Established in November 2007 as a social movement, DI-SL evolved into a development program aimed at enhancing inclusion and participation for individuals with disabilities. We focus on influencing development actions and creating a positive impact on the lives of youths with different abilities.
Our mission is to champion the rights and aspirations of youths with disabilities, creating a supportive community that fosters inclusivity, advocates for accessibility, and empowers individuals to reach their fullest potential in education, employment, and societal participation.
Empowering youths with disabilities to thrive through inclusive opportunities, fostering a society that values diversity and provides equal access to education, employment, and social engagement
Embracing diversity and ensuring that every voice is heard, we foster an environment where youths with disabilities are valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique strengths to the community.
